COLUMBUS, Ohio –\u00a0Do you believe in angels?<\/p>\n
According to an Associated Press survey, 77% of Americans think angels are real, including an Ohio pastor who insists an angel saved him from a horrific accident.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one should\u2019ve been able to touch the car,\u201d said Pastor John Boston, \u201cI shouldn\u2019t have survived.\u201d<\/p>\n
The young husband and father was driving on Airport Rd in Columbus, Ohio in April 2015 when another car crossed the center line and came barreling toward him.<\/p>\n
Pastor Boston swerved to miss the vehicle and struck a utility pole, sending a live transformer crashing onto his car.<\/p>\n
Immediately the metal and glass began to buckle on the intense heat from thousands of volts of electricity.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe windshield was melting,\u201d said Pastor Boston, \u201cThe passenger window was folding\u00a0into the car.\u201d<\/p>\n
Boston, who had recently accepted a position with Central Seventh Day Adventist church and moved to the city with his wife Carla and their young 4-year-old daughter Riley, was trapped\u00a0inside the burning car.<\/p>\n
He says the\u00a0seat-belt\u00a0was stuck and door wouldn\u2019t open.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s when a \u201cscruffy looking\u201d stranger came out of nowhere and he says, easily opened the smashed door.<\/p>\n
He says the man removed him from the car and walked him 20 yards away from the vehicle to safety, just before it exploded in flames.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said my name is Johnny, the police are almost here and I can\u2019t be here when they get here but you\u2019re gonna be okay,\u201d said Pastor Boston. \u201cAnd then the man was gone.\u201d<\/p>\n
First responders arrived and rushed Pastor Boston to the Grant Medical Center where he was treated for what turned out to be only minor injuries and questioned him about the mysterious man.<\/p>\n
He says people tried to rationalize the situation\u00a0and thought maybe the circuit breaker tripped and Johnny fled because of sketchy past.<\/p>\n
However, even firefighters say there are some aspects of what happened that defy logic, reason and science.Video at link.<\/p>\n
