The Dublin Mystic: Matt Talbot

On 8 June 1925, the following news item appeared in the Irish Independent:

Unknown Man’s Death

An elderly man collapsed in Granby Lane [Dublin] yesterday, and being taken to Jervis Street Hospital he was found to be dead. He was wearing a tweed suit, but there was nothing to indicate who he was.

What was not reported was the unusual discovery when he was taken to hospital. He was wearing heavy chains: some wrapped around his legs, others on his body. Mortuary staff puzzled over not just who he was but, also, the meaning of the chains.

The newspaper report had appeared on a Monday morning. Later that night, police ushered a woman into the mortuary. She identified the body as that of her brother: Matt Talbot. A nursing nun present asked about the chains. The dead man’s sister replied simply that it was something he wore, and with that, they were placed in the coffin and the lid closed.

That was not the whole story though; the chains were part of the mystery of the man who had died. They were as symbolic as they were real. The man’s life having been a ‘crossing over’ from the servitude of vice to the freedom of those in chains for Christ.

Creator of Fake Website Selling Prayers is Forced to Pay Back over $7 Million to Customers

The creator of a fake prayer website, which sold prayers to customers for payment, has been forced to pay restitution of up to $7.5 million to customers he swindled.
Christian Today reports that Benjamin Rogovy, from Seattle, created the for-profit company Christian Prayer Center (CPC) which sold prayers to 125,000 customers for $9-$35 per prayer.
Rogovy created a fake pastor named John Carlson who allegedly ran the website. Rogovy even created a LinkedIn profile for Carlson, describing him as “Senior Pastor, Christian Prayer Center, January 2009-present.”
Rogovy also used the name Eric Johnston as a supposed leader of the company.
The website included “fictitious testimonials from consumers using stock photos that claimed they successfully prayed to avoid home foreclosure, deliver a healthy baby, win the lottery, obtain negative results of an HIV test and put cancer into remission.”
Rogovy is being forced to pay back all the money he took under false pretenses to the victims of the scam.

St. Michael and the Burning Mountain

During the course of researching a topic for an updated version of my book, I stumbled across the official coat of arms of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, which shows the Archangel Michael standing with a lance over a volcano situated in the sea.  This image is highly evocative of the vision seen by Sr. Lucia when she was instructed to commit the Third Secret to writing in 1944:

‘I felt my spirit flooded by a light-filled mystery which is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of the flame-like lance which detaches, touches the axis of the earth and it [the earth] shakes: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, rivers and clouds leave their bounds, they overflow, flood and drag with them into a whirlpool, houses and people in a number unable to be counted; it is the purification of the world from the sin it is immersed in.

In this new version of my book, which will soon be published under the title Unveiling the Apocalypse: The Final Passover of the Church, just one of the many new subjects being covered is the how the Canary Islands figured in ancient Greek mythology as the location of Elysium and the Isles of the Blessed, which were said to lie in the far west of the known world at the entrance to Hades, which also was also where the Titans were said to have been bound in the depths of Tartarus. In this updated version of Unveiling the Apocalypse, I will show in extended detail how the Book of Enoch directly bases its story of the Watchers on the Titans of Greek mythology, which in turn forms the basis of several prophecies found in the epistles of St. Peter and St. Jude, and even the Apocalypse itself.  The Book of Enoch, which details how seven “burning mountains” stand at the entrance to Tartarus, can thus be used to establish that these are one and the same as the seven volcanic islands of the Canary archipelago.  Given that it has already been established that the Apocalypse frequently alludes to the Book of Enoch, we can be almost certain that the “great mountain, burning with fire” being thrown into the sea in Rev 8:8 is one of the seven burning mountains described throughout the Enochian literature.

Mass Exorcism Needed: Mexico Swept by Wave of Satanic Killings

Mexico is being swept by a wave of satanic ritual killings with exorcists saying there is an unprecedented demand for their services.

Father José Antonio Fortea, a leading Mexican exorcist, who once ordered the mass exorcism of the whole country, has warned of an increase in satanic ritual killings.

He said that “devil worship” stemmed from the so-called cult of Santa Muerte, depicted as a human corpse with all the flesh picked off the bones, and dressed like a bride for her wedding. The name means “Holy Death” – and it harks back to the days when to be sacrificed to the Aztec gods was considered the greatest honor.

“The vampire fad is something that’s very close to Satanism,” Father Fortea stated.

Edwin Juarez Palma, a 24-year-old restaurant worker, was beaten, strangled and had his neck slashed with a broken bottle by the proponents of the vampire cult during a ceremony intended to turn him into a vampire, the Sun wrote.

Police said that the young man was killed after being fooled into taking part in an initiation ceremony to become part of a satanic cult called the Sons of Baphomet 1.

Instead he was tortured after having his hands tied behind his back after one of the alleged killers persuaded the others that their victim should be sacrificed so he could return to life as a vampire. Two men and one woman, later arrested in connection with the killing, admitted that they belonged to the Sons of Bahomet 1 cult.

Police Chief Pablo Rocha said: “This crime took place during an initiation ceremony led by a satanic sect called Sons of Baphomet 1 during which the victim was supposed to become a vampire.”

Medal of Honor Recipient Credits St. Michael Prayer for Protection Video

“On my first deployment to Iraq, some 11 years ago, I arrived in [the] country, and I saw another SEAL, standing there with a St. Michael the Archangel patch on his shoulder. I’m not sure what drew me to it, but I walked up to him and asked him if I could have it. He was leaving the combat zone and made it through a safe deployment, so he was absolutely willing to give it to me. He handed it to me without hesitation.”

“I’ve worn that patch on my kit on every single mission I’ve ever been a part of.”

“On that day in December 2012 – the day you heard recounted several times about my team, and the way we carried out the mission to rescue [an] American hostage – on that day, just like every day, I prayed. I prayed on the way to my target, and again I prayed over my brother Nicholas Checque, for his soul, as he gave his life to save another American.”

He also humbly deflected special credit for the brave act that earned him the medal, saying, “I want to emphasize that I’m no different than any one of my teammates. I’m certain that any one of them would have taken the same exact actions I did that day. I’ve seen countless heroic acts in my time working with the nation’s most elite operators.”

“May God bless you,” he said in closing, “and may St. Michael the Archangel protect our warriors in battle. Long live the brotherhood. Thank you.”

Skull of Mary Magdalene

Skull of Mary Magdalene

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASkull of Mary Magdalene

The skull of Mary Magdalene can be found in the South of France in the once Gallo Roman town of Villa Latta or Tégulata, which after the death of Maximin (one of Jesus’ seventy-two disciples), became St. Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume.

The skull of Mary Magdalene rests most of the year in the crypt of the Basilique Sainte Marie Madeleine, a massive Gothic basilica whose construction began in 1295 under Charles II of Anjou, King of Naples, Count of Provence and nephew of St. Louis (King of France). It was on this ground, that Mary Magdalene’s body was buried by her good friend Maximin (1st bishop of Aix), and later hidden for centuries only to be re-discovered on December 10, 1279 during excavations ordered by Charles II himself.

Mary Magdalene’s remains were found intact except for her jaw bone. In the dust inside the tomb was a wooden tablet wrapped in wax.

wooden tablet“Here lies the body of Mary Magdalene.”

Also found in her tomb was the Sainte Ampoule (a glass sphere containing earth soaked with blood of Jesus Christ collected by Mary Magdalene at the foot of the cross).

Reunion of jaw bone and skull of Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene’s jaw bone had been sent to Rome after a previous excavation of her tomb and before the Saracen invasion of 710 AD, when all important relics in France were hidden. In Rome, Mary Magdalene’s jaw bone had been venerated for centuries. With the news of the 1279 discovery, Pope Boniface VIII returned the jaw bone to St. Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume and on April 6, 1295 it was reunited with the skull of Mary Magdalene. The pope then published the pontifical bull for the establishment of the Dominicans at Sainte Baume and St. Maximin. The Dominicans chose Mary Magdalene as co-patroness of their Order of Preachers.

Noli me tangere

Noli me tangere, meaning “touch me not” is the Latin version of words spoken, according to John, by Jesus to Mary Magdalene when she recognized him after his Resurrection:

John 20:17
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me,
for I have not yet ascended to the Father;
but go to my brothers and say to them,
‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father,
to my God and your God.’”

When first opening the tomb of Mary Magdalene in 1279, there was a wonderful smell of perfume that filled the air, and there was a small piece of skin attached to her skull in the spot where Jesus touched her after his Resurrection. The bishops who witnessed the excavation called the piece of skin “noli me tangere,” for they realized that through the miracle of Jesus’ touch the skin was still alive. Those in charge of the relics carefully sealed the noli me tangere in a glass vase. Centuries passed….  there was a widely recognized, time-honored alliance between Mary Magdalene and Provence..

In 1793 during the French Revolution the shrine was broken into and the relics thrown about. The basilica at St. Maximin was saved from utter destruction by transforming it into a government store placing over the great doors the words – Fournitures Militaires or “Military Supplies.”.

Joseph Bastide, sacristan of St. Maximin, removed the skull of Mary Magdalene  along with the Sainte Ampoule and the noli me tangere. After the Revolution, Bastide brought his treasure to the archbishop

Statement on the alleged visionary Mr. Charlie Johnston- Archdiocese of Denver.

Statement on the alleged visionary Mr. Charlie Johnston

On March 1, 2016, officials from the Archdiocese of Denver met with Mr. Charlie Johnston to inform him of the findings of a preliminary investigation into his writings and speeches. A special commission composed of two theologians and a canonist reviewed material from his blog, videos of presentations from various parts of the country, and an archive of writings detailing Mr. Johnston’s alleged visions as far back as 1998.

Mr. Johnston claims to have received both visions and messages from the Blessed Mother, the Archangel Gabriel and other saints since he was young. According to Mr. Johnston, the purpose of these visits was to train him to serve as a messenger for God and strengthen the faithful, particularly during a time of economic and moral upheaval, which he refers to as “The Storm.”

In his writings and in person, Mr. Johnston also insists that the “prophetic” aspects of his message are not essential and should not be the focus of those who follow him. However, it appears that those same predictions are what attract new followers to his message and give them a sense of urgency and zeal.

After hearing concerns and inquiries from Catholics throughout the United States and within the Archdiocese of Denver itself, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila decided to launch a preliminary investigation to advise him on the content of Mr. Johnston’s writings and presentations. It should be noted that the commission’s mandate did not include determining whether Mr. Johnston’s messages are divine in origin.

After reviewing the commission’s findings and in keeping with his pastoral office, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila of Denver has decided to strongly advise the faithful to exercise prudence and caution in regards to Mr. Charlie Johnston’s alleged divine visions and messages. As has been demonstrated with other alleged apparitions, the danger exists of people placing greater faith in a prediction than in Christ’s words and promises.

For these reasons, Mr. Johnston will also not be approved as a speaker in the Archdiocese of Denver.

For those who are disappointed by this finding, the archdiocese encourages them to seek their security in Jesus Christ, the sacraments, and the Scriptures. The faithful should also remember Christ’s words: “But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mt. 24:36).
